Ford F-250

Chevrolet Silverado 2500

RAM 2500

There are a few Heavy Duty (HD) trucks competing with the impressive 2022 Chevy Silverado 2500. Here is a comparison between the Chevy Silverado 2500, Ram 2500, and Ford F-250.
Power and Performance
Chevy Silverado 2500
The Silverado 2500 comes with two engine choices—both of which can haul more than a few tons around Clifton. The Duramax® 6.6L Turbo-Diesel V8 is married to a 10-speed Allison® automatic transmission. This combination delivers 910 lb.-ft. of torque with 445 horsepower and a max towing capacity of 36,000 lbs. The 6.6L V8 gas engine will give you 464 lb.-ft. of torque and 401 horsepower with a max towing capacity of 17,370 lbs. You’ll also have a payload capacity between 3,000 and 3,900 lbs. in your Durabed. That gives you more cargo volume than any HD competitor. Twelve standard tie-downs, an available LED cargo lighting area, a built-in 120-volt outlet, and a Multi-Flex tailgate gives this HD truck an edge over its competition in Jersey City.
Ram 2500
The Ram 2500 comes with two engine options as well. The available 6.7L Cummings® Turbo-Diesel I6 delivers 850 lb.-ft. of torque, 370 horsepower, and a 20,000 lb. towing capacity, and the standard 6.4L HEMI® V8 engine provides 429 lb.-ft. of torque, 410 horsepower, and a max towing capacity of 17,540 lbs. The available rear air suspension conveniently lowers your flatbed to hook up your trailer. A factory-installed rear axle is equipped with mounting hardware for the available fifth-wheel/Gooseneck package.
Ford F-250
The Ford F-250 offers three engine options for this year’s model. The 6.7L Power Stroke® V8 Turbo Diesel engine, 6.2L Flex-Fuel Gas V8, and a 7.3 L OHV PFI Gas V8. When properly equipped, the max towing capacity can reach 37,000 lbs and a payload of 7,850 lbs. The Diesel engine provides the best-in-class diesel horsepower and 1,050 lb.-ft. of torque.
Interior Design
Chevy Silverado 2500
The Best-in-class front head and legroom make traveling feel more like your living room than a front seat. Impressive cargo material provides comfort on those long trips in Clifton, and the rear seating space gives your passengers the elbow room they need. At the same time, the dual-zone climate control keeps everyone comfortable during the ride. And, when you need a reliable connection, your available built-in Wi-Fi hotspot will give you uninterrupted streaming for your laptop, tablet, or smartphone. Upfront, the diagonal 8-inch color touchscreen with navigation is just one of the many Chevy Infotainment 3 System features that will create a more engaging commute in Paramus.
Ram 2500
The digital rearview mirror with tow mode features an LCD monitor that provides a real-time stream from one rear-facing camera. You’ll also have a view of the area behind the trailer or upfit from one more mounted camera. Premium, 100 percent leather seating material, including a three-across rear seating setup, provides a decent amount of space for your passengers in the back.
Ford F-250
Available leather-trimmed upholstery and cabin options like ambient lighting, temperature-controlled front seats, and wireless charging begin at the higher trim levels. The front cabin is highlighted by a large center storage bin and bucket seats. In the rear, there is a lockable box underneath the seat. Base models are equipped with a non-touch display infotainment screen, while higher trim levels include Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration with a Wi-Fi hotspot and an improved 12-inch touchscreen.
Safety
Chevy Silverado 2500
You’ll have 15 available camera views to help you hitch up to your trailer, back up, or analyze your surroundings. In addition, the 15-inch diagonal Head-Up display helps keep your eyes on the road in Bloomfield, NJ, by projecting pertinent vehicle information onto your windshield. You can keep tabs on your Chevy HD's speed, navigation, and active safety alerts. All-Speed traction control, rear vision camera, daytime running lamps, and trailer sway control are standard for the Chevy Silverado 2500. But, you can up the ante with available safety features like blind-spot monitoring, forward-collision warning, automated emergency braking, and more.
Ram 2500
Your safety starts with the available 15-degree turning headlamps, a 260-degree surround-view camera, and LED trailer hitch lights. Available features like forward-collision warning, LaneSense® lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, and parking assistance help give you the protection you need on the road in Jersey City or Paterson, NJ.
Ford F-250
The Ford F-250 comes with an array of standard and available safety features. Blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping alert, pre-collision assistance with automated emergency braking, and forward-collision warning top the list of available features for the Ford F-250.
