Super Cruise is a semi-autonomous driving system that runs in sync with compatible roads. This innovative technology will change the way you drive using infrared technology, innovative cameras, and acute satellite communication to direct your vehicle across compatible roads. How many roads? Up to 750,000 miles throughout the U.S. and Canada. Unlock GM's game-changing driving mode with these all-inclusive features.
This feature will automatically change lanes when traffic ahead of you moves too slowly for your speed. The system will initiate the turn signal and then wait for an opening to switch lanes and pass. If no opening is detected, the system will slow your speed and proceed to wait for an opening in an adjacent lane.
Adaptive Cruise Control is designed to monitor the flow of traffic and automatically adjust your speed as needed. Your Chevy will always maintain a safe distance from vehicles around you in accordance with all laws and regulations of the road.
Your new Chevy and its Super Cruise technology will also include an enhanced navigation system. By using precise satellite communication, your in-cabin navigation will identify Super Cruise compatible roads with white lines as you travel through Paramus, Paterson, NJ, and select cities throughout the nation. Choose, "Alternate Routes Overview" on your touchscreen to identify all compatible roads nearby or on your route.
You can use this technology even while towing objects on your hitch. With no additional action required, Super Cruise will recognize when you're pulling a trailer and automatically lengthen the gap to the next vehicle in traffic. This will provide extra stopping distance and ensure that you travel safely at all times.
If you become immobilized or unresponsive during your commute while using Super Cruise, the vehicle will slow to a stop. Additionally, the system will contact OnStar to initiate contact with you and send help if needed. More information about this feature is available in the "prompts" below.
Your Super Cruise technology is available as soon as you enter compatible roads in Bloomfield, NJ, or anywhere on your route. To initiate a session, depress the Illuminated Super Cruise button on the steering wheel. Once the Super Cruise symbol and light bar turn green on the steering wheel, and your vehicle is centered, the system is engaged, and you may remove your hands from the wheel.
